This is a 12mm HSS (high speed steel) metal drill bit for use in a standard pillar drill, bench drill or a hand-held drill with appropriate speed and feed. The 12mm diameter creates a clearance hole suitable for M10 or M12 bolts, larger fixings and pipe or cable entry points through metal sheet and sections. Use with a centre punch to start cleanly and apply cutting fluid on thicker stock to extend bit life.
