A 3″ (75mm) steel mending plate — a flat, straight metal bracket with pre-drilled screw holes used to reinforce or repair joints in timber. Mending plates bridge across a butt joint or break, providing strength and rigidity when screwed to both pieces.
Commonly used for repairing broken fence rails, shelf supports, bed slats, furniture frames and general timber joinery. The 3″ size suits light to medium-duty repairs.
