100mm Zinc Plated Mending Plate
Centurion White Hinge Repair Plate - 75 x 10 x 55mm - Pack of 2
Previous
A mending plate is a flat rectangular steel plate drilled with a row of screw holes, used to bridge and reinforce a joint between two pieces of timber. It is screwed flat across the joint on the face of the wood, helping hold the joint together and resist pulling or shearing forces.
Common uses include repairing split or broken timber rails, reinforcing weak butt joints in shelf frames, fixing split drawer bases and general repair work on furniture, gate frames, garden structures and interior joinery. The zinc-plated finish helps protect against rust in normal indoor conditions. At 100mm, this is a medium-size plate suited to medium-weight timber repairs.
