- Your Calendula flowers will be a real magnet for butterflies, bees and other insects as they visit the blooms in search of pollen and nectar.
- See if you can recognise any of the ‘bugs’ on your stickers and use your magnifying glass to help you get to know them better!
- Sow your seeds from March to May. Sow your seeds by scattering them into weed-free soil, then rub your hand over the area to bury your seeds.
- Your seedlings should appear in 10-15 days.
- When your plants are big enough to handle, move them so they are at least two kids' hands width apart.
- Keep the soil moist and feed with liquid feed every week to help your plants flower more.
- Removing faded flowers will encourage new ones.
- As your plants flower, it's time to start your 'Bug Watch' so keep an eye on your plants with your magnifying glass.
