Hercules Axe 4 1/2lb is for felling trees and also for cutting off branches from felled trees. The thin blade makes it swing smoothly through the branch.

High-quality hardened tool steel according to DIN 7287, class B
Surface fine-polished in full
First-grade hickory handle, secured with a jagged carbon-fibre wedge and an additional metal ring-wedge
Wedge equipped with a euro suspension hole
Handle has an 8 mm (European standard) suspension hole for easy storage
