How to Grow

Sow seeds in pots or trays using moist, good-quality compost.

Place in a propagator, greenhouse or on a warm windowsill at around 15°C.

Cover seeds with 1cm of compost.

Germination takes 7–14 days.

Transplant seedlings into 7.5cm pots, then into grow bags or large containers.

Train plants up strings and support developing fruits with nets.

Water and feed regularly throughout the growing season.

For outdoor growing, use black membrane to warm the soil and protect plants with a cloche.

Hand-pollinate by transferring pollen from male flowers to female flowers with a small fruit at the base.
