How to Grow

• Sow seeds in pots or trays using moist, good-quality compost.

• Place in a propagator, greenhouse or on a warm windowsill at around 15°C.

• Cover seeds with 1cm of compost.

• Germination takes 7–14 days.

• Transplant seedlings into 7.5cm pots, then into grow bags or large containers.

• Train plants up strings and support developing fruits with nets.

• Water and feed regularly throughout the growing season.

• For outdoor growing, use black membrane to warm the soil and protect plants with a cloche.

• Hand-pollinate by transferring pollen from male flowers to female flowers with a small fruit at the base.
