Application & Drying Information

Preparation:

Ensure surfaces to be painted are free from loose paint, rust, wax, oil and grease. Previously painted surfaces should be abraded to provide a key. Bare wood and metal should be primed with Rust-Oleum Surface Primer. Bare plastic should be primed with Rust-Oleum Plastic Primer. Cover surrounding areas to protect from spray mist. To ensure paint suitability, test on a small inconspicuous area first.

Application:

Shake the can vigorously for 1 minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle and continue to shake regularly during use. Select the preferred spray pattern by turning the dial to one of the five options. Hold the can approximately 30cm from the surface and spray in a steady back and forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. For best results, keep the can at a consistent distance from the surface, keep it in motion and apply a light coat every 15 to 20 minutes until the desired finish is achieved.

Cleaning:

After use, invert the can and spray for 2 to 3 seconds to clear the spray nozzle. Repeat this step for each nozzle setting used by rotating the dial.

Drying & Recoating:

Touch dry in 15 minutes.
Hard dry in 4 hours.
Recoat within 1 hour or after 24 hours.
Drying times are based on warm 15°C, dry application conditions with good ventilation. Lower temperatures and higher humidity will prolong drying times.
