M6 x 120mm Roofing Bolt

A roofing bolt is a bolt with a large domed or mushroom-shaped head designed to sit over corrugated roofing sheets, guttering brackets and metal cladding without tearing or deforming the material around the fixing hole. The large head spreads the clamping load across a bigger area than a standard bolt, reducing the risk of the sheet distorting or cracking around the hole.

This M6 x 120mm version has a zinc plated finish for basic corrosion resistance. The 120mm length suits thicker roofing sheet assemblies or those with a spacer or washer pack. Used with a standard M6 nut and flat washer (or EPDM sealing washer where a weathertight fixing is needed). Common applications include fixing corrugated steel or GRP sheets to timber purlin roofs, fixing guttering straps and cladding rails to timber frames.
