To maximise the life of your hot water bottle you should observe the following points

  • Do not use boiling water as this causes the rubber to persish
  • When not in use, completely drain and store with the stopper removed in a cool dark place
  • Fill the bottle to a maximum of two thirds holding it upright by its neck and shoulder
  • Expel air until water appears at the opening
  • Screw the stopper tight to ensure there is no leakage
  • Check the stopper regularly
