6mm Tile & Glass Drill Bit

This is a specialist drill bit for brittle materials where an ordinary masonry or metal bit would be more likely to skid or damage the surface. It is used for neat fixing holes in glazed tiles, mirrors and glass when fitting bathroom accessories, cable clips, splashback fixings and similar hardware.

Use it with a standard drill at low speed and without hammer action, applying light steady pressure and keeping the tip cool as you work. On very smooth glazed tiles, a small piece of masking tape over the drilling point can help the bit start cleanly without wandering.
