Hot rolled steel flat strip is a solid rectangular steel bar section, wider than it is thick, used in fabrication, repair and metalwork where a flat metal element is needed. The 14mm width and 5mm thickness make this a medium-weight section — strong enough for brackets, braces and support plates but light enough to cut and drill with standard workshop tools.
