How to Grow

• For salad onions, sow seeds sparingly in broad drills into finely raked, firm soil.

• Plant at a depth of 13mm with rows spaced 30cm apart.

• Germination takes approximately 18–24 days.

• Sow small amounts regularly to maintain a continuous crop.

• Water well during dry spells.

• For bulb onions, sow 3–4 seeds per small pot in a propagator or greenhouse in March or April at 15–20°C.

• Transplant outdoors once established.
